COMPATIBILITY (MATCHING)

 

Compatibility is an Astrological tool through which the compatibility between a Bride and Bridegroom will be assessed which would enable the couple to lead a successful marital life. The Birth Stars of both Boy and Girl will be taken into consideration while judging the compatibility, because Moon is the indicator of minds of the Couple to see the wavelength of the minds of the boy and girl  for a long and harmonious wedded life. This was the common practice in India before going for alliances since a very long time.

Most of the Kutas (Vivaha Ponthanas) are based on the position of  the moon sign and birth star  of the boy and the girl calculated under Indian Astrology.

1. VARNA KUTA:

3. TARA

This is also called Dina Kuta. Imagine the 27 stars to be in a circle. Identify the star of the Girl. From here count the star of the Boy. Divide the number by 9. If the remainder is 3 or 5 or 7 it is said to be malefic. Repeat the same process but this time start from Boy's star.

4. YONI

This compatibility takes into consideration the relative positions of Birth signs. If the signs are in 2/12, 5/9 0r 6/8 no point is given otherwise full 7 points are allotted. 

 

7. GANA

8. NADI

Nadi is a very important factor. There are 3 Nadis. Aadi, Madhya and Antya. If Boy and the Girl have same Nadi no point is given, otherwise 8 points are given.
